Eastern Carolina Human Services Agency, Inc. (ECHSA, Inc.) is a private non-profit Community Action Agency that provides services to low-income, Veterans, and military families in Duplin, Onslow, New Hanover, Pender, and surrounding counties in Eastern North Carolina. ECHSA, Inc. seeks to involve the community in assessing local needs and attacking the causes and conditions of poverty.

The programs administered by the agency include: Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, Community Services Block Grant- Family Self Sufficiency Program (CSBG-FSS), Mainstream Housing for Persons with Disabilities, Family Unification Program (FUP), Homeowners Program, and NC FALL Prevention Program for Veterans and active duty military and their families. These programs, in partnership, provide the skills necessary to equip participants with the highest possibility of becoming economically and socially self-sufficient. The agency’s primary goal is to assist families in becoming independent and less dependent on government/welfare assistance. Low income families, disabled persons, children, and homeless Veterans are among the populations who are afforded comprehensive case management services that foster a better living through education and training, employment support/job placement, planning for their financial future, and personal development.
Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, it is necessary to generate additional funds to cover some expenses that are incurred. It is then that we focus on fundraisers and donations from the community. Therefore, ECHSA, Inc. is reaching out for financial assistance from all of those who feel that our cause is worthy of support.

We are asking that individuals and/or an organization make a financial contribution or a donation to assist us in our fundraising goals. Your support will aid ECHSA, Inc. in its efforts to better serve low-income, Veterans, and military families in the counties served. Donations, whether large or small, are greatly appreciated.
